Yohimbe
What Is It?
- Yohimbe is an alkaloid that produces stimulant and aphrodisiac effects. It is found naturally in Pausinystalia yohimbe (Yohimbe) and also found naturally in Rauwolfia serpentina (Indian Snakeroot), along with several other active alkaloids.
Yohimbe Uses
- Yohimbe appears to decrease fat synthesis in the body as well as increase fatty acid mobilization from fat stores in women (especially in the hips). Studies have shown that Yohimbe can help prevent arteries from becoming clogged. It has also been used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and it appears that it can help male impotence.
